Gaining assurance on demanding turf

Project leaders and managers are not really leaders. At least, that is a recurring them in their descriptions of themselves. 

As we see it, however, the opposite is the case: the high art of leadership includes motivating employees – and sometimes other managers – to engage in project teamwork. After all, people with responsibility for projects are only given limited formal authority (that is, power) by the organisation. In addition to a useful toolkit, this workshop gives participants a chance to examine their attitudes and mental map as leaders within a matrix structure. The end products are an increase in their options for action and a more stable leadership position on this demanding turf.
