Leadership during change –
From the instinctive "no" to a "yes"

Major changes in companies are no longer the exception, but are a part of their constant development. However, social systems often react to imposed changes with fear, uncertainty and resistance, expressed in the form of rumour-mongering.

In a situation of this kind, leaders are faced with a great challenge: in a system which does not appear stable, the individual members of the system feel an increased need to communicate. At the same time, the leaders themselves are mostly involved in the process of change, i.e. they are personally affected and feel uncertain.

”Leadership During Change” provides leaders with an opportunity to understand the group dynamics of social systems involved in processes of change, and to reflect on their meaning for the group, the individual and themselves. In lab situations they learn to deal with outside disruption in a targeted, productive manner. They thus gain the ability to guide their team safely through stormy waters.
