Facilitating fitness for leadership

The combined ability of all executives to lead the company, as a social structure, towards a desired future, is what we call fitness for leadership. It requires a leadership concept which supports the company’s current aims and future direction.

It also requires a readiness to invest in managers' leadership skills. Companies which successfully achieve this facilitate the following at all levels and in all areas:

  • purpose and identification
  • concentration both on tasks and interrelationships
  • a common language and focus
  • readiness for responsibility and change
  • commitment

Companies which achieve this are quicker: quicker to implement strategies, quicker to react to changes on the market, quicker to grasp unexpected opportunities. Which makes them more successful. And more attractive.
