New motivation through social commitment
Sometimes, extraordinary projects are needed in order to motivate teams anew, to break down established structures, establish networks or promote social skills. We realise such projects under the name of Corporate Citizenship.
The special feature: team members jointly commit to a social project which we seek out based upon the target goals of the training. If, for example, social skills of a team are supposed to be improved, caring for the ill over a fixed period of time can be beneficial. In other cases, teams jointly build an adventure playground or help in crisis areas.
In the selection of the social project, we ensure that time and financial expenditures are in a reasonable proportion to the benefits obtained. In addition, we take into consideration to the extent possible the wishes of the participants because the greater the identification with the project, the more sustained is the effectiveness of the training based upon our experience.
If the project is fixed, we ensure that, as necessary, the required materials and specialised personnel are available. However, in active cooperation, we hold ourselves back because we see an important learning experience in the self-organisation of the group.
In doing so, we constantly keep in mind that that as is always the case with such social commitment is only a partial goal of the project. Correspondingly, we ensure through intensive phases of reflection that important know-how is transferred into the team’s day-to-day working life and thus the target goal of the project is achieved.
